Structure of ERN GENTURIS

 

 

ERN GENTURIS BOARD

The ERN GENTURIS Board is the main governing body of the network and is composed of:

  • ERN GENTURIS Full Members
  • The representative of ERN GENTURIS ePAGs.

Major decisions related to:

  • electing/appointing/terminating the ERN GENTURIS HCP Network Coordinator and Representative,
  • accepting/terminating network Full Members,
  • creating additional Thematic Groups and/or Task Forces,
  • approving amendments to the Governance Statutes

 

ERN Executive Committee Plus

The Executive Committee Plus is responsible for monitoring the progress of the work done within the 6 Task Forces and 4 Thematic Groups towards the overall project objectives.

The Executive Committee consists of:

  • the Coordinator representative, who is also Task Force 1 leader
  • the Task Force leaders of Task Forces 2 to 6
  • the 4 Thematic Group leaders
  • the ePAG Board member

 

National Coordinators Board (NCB)

The National Coordinators Board (NCB) advises the ERN GENTURIS Board on national issues and acts as platform to discuss national differences and find international solutions for GENTURIS, to “translate” centrally established output into national products and vice versa.

Tasks of a National Coordinator are:

  1. Spreading the knowledge about the Network, providing general information about the ERNs, what they are doing and how they could help
  2. Collaborating in joint projects (or delegating some activities to the appropriate people) and disseminating information about the activities and spreading the knowledge generated in the network via a national network
    1. Adopt guidelines: implement ERN GENTURIS guidelines in the national healthcare system
    2. Spread the ERN GENTURIS teaching activities: courses and webinars
    3. Implement the CPMS to discuss patient cases
  3.  Being the point of contact:
    1. Between healthcare professionals
    2. Between ERN and health authorities 

The National Coordinators will:

  • Identify all relevant stakeholders within your country
  • Analyse and describe the national healthcare system
  • Set-up a national network or analyse and describe existing system
  • Distribute ERN GENTURIS information and knowledge to their personal and the national network.

 

Thematic Groups

The Thematic Groups consist of a leader, 3-5 additional members, and 1-2 ePAG representatives. 

Each Thematic Group can involve in its activities all ERN GENTURIS HCPs who are expert in the Thematic Group. Thematic Group leaders act as expert and contact person in GENTURIS for the syndromes covered by the thematic group and provide Task Forces with relevant information and input to the process and outcomes (deliverables).

 

Task Forces 

The Task Forces consist of a leader, 3-5 additional members, and 1-2 ePAG representatives.

The Task Force leaders are responsible for an effective and efficient implementation of the work associated with a specific Task Force. Each Task Force Leader shall manage the respective Task Force, regarding:

  • Monitoring the progress of the activities towards the specific deliverables and objectives of the Task Force, based on the defined milestones and means of verification.
  • Reporting progress to the Executive Committee Plus, including suggestions for corrective measures in case of delays and/or disputes.
